About the Manitoba Business Investor Stream

The Manitoba Entrepreneur Pathway is a business-immigration route within the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). It lets eligible foreign entrepreneurs move to Manitoba to start a business, buy an existing business, or become a partner in one and ultimately obtain provincial nomination, which they then use to apply for permanent residence with the federal government.

Eligibility Requirements

A. Profile

• Have a Net Worth of CAN$500 000+ (US$365 350)
• Have 3 years+ of Experience as a business owner or senior management experience within the past 5 years.
• Proficiency in English equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 5/10.
• Have at least the equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma.

B. Busiiness Commitments

• Complete an Exploratory visit to the Province.
• Provide active and on-going management of the business for at least 12 to 24 months.
• Make a minimum of investment of at least CAN$150 000.
• Create at least 1 new full-time job for a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Plan to live in the Province.
