About the Yukon Entrepreneur Business Stream

The Yukon Entrepreneur Provincial Nominee Program is designed to attract experienced business owners and entrepreneurs who wish to establish or invest in a business in Yukon. Through this program, eligible candidates can gain permanent residence in Canada while contributing to the territory’s economic growth. The program focuses on entrepreneurs who can create local jobs, introduce innovative products or services, and demonstrate the financial capacity and business experience needed to operate a successful venture in Yukon’s unique business environment.

Eligibility Requirements

A. Profile

• Have a Net Worth of CAN$500 000+ (US$365 350).
• Have 3 years+ of Experience as a business owner or senior management experience or 5 years+ relevant work experience;
• Proficiency in English equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 4/10.
• Have at least the equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma.
• Must not be a refugee or have been previously denied immigration.

B. Busiiness Commitments

• Complete an Exploratory visit to the Province.
• Provide active and on-going management of the business for at least 24 months.
• Make a minimum of investment of at least CAN$300 000.
• Business must operate in strategic sectors, such as IT, Manufacturing, Value-added Processing, Forestry, Tourism, Energy, Mining, Agriculture, Cultural Industry, Film/Video Production.
• Create at least 1 new full-time job for a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Plan to live in the Province.
