About the New Brunswick Entrepreneur Business Stream

The New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream has replaced the now-closed Entrepreneurial Stream, which is no longer accepting applications.

The New Brunswick Business Immigration Stream offers an economic immigration pathway for experienced entrepreneurs who wish to establish, operate, and actively manage a business while living permanently in New Brunswick.

Eligible entrepreneurs must either start a new business or purchase an existing one and be directly involved in its day-to-day management. After running the business for at least six months and fulfilling the terms of the business performance agreement, entrepreneurs may be nominated by New Brunswick for permanent residency.

Eligibility Requirements

A. Profile

• Have a Net Worth of CAN$500 000+ (US$365 350)
• Have 2 years+ of Experience as a business owner or 5 years+ of senior management experience within the past 5 years.
• Proficiency in English equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 4/10.
• Have at least the equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma.
• Must be aged between 21 to 59 years old.

B. Busiiness Commitments

• Complete an Exploratory visit to the Province.
• Provide active and on-going management of the business for at least 6 to 12 months.
• Make a minimum of investment of at least CAN$150 000.
• Create at least 1 new full-time job for a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Plan to live in the Province.
