About the Newfoundland Entrepreneur Provincial Nominee Program
The Newfoundland and Labrador Entrepreneur Provincial Nominee Program (NL EPNP) is an economic immigration stream designed to attract experienced business owners and entrepreneurs to establish or buy a business in Newfoundland and Labrador. The program aims to support the province’s economic growth by encouraging investment, job creation, and innovation. Successful applicants may receive a provincial nomination, which can lead to permanent residence in Canada.
Eligibility Requirements
A. Profile
- i) Have a Net Worth of CAN$600 000+ (US$438 400);
- ii) Have 2 years+ of Experience as a business owner within the past 5 years or 5 years+ of senior management experience within the past 10 years;
- Proficiency in English equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 5/10.
- iv) Have at least the equivalent of a Canadian High School diploma;
- v) Must be aged between 21 to 59 years old.
B. Busiiness Commitments
- i) Complete an Exploratory visit to the Province;
- ii) Provide active and on-going management of the business for at least 12 months;
- iii) Make a minimum of investment of at least CAN$200 000;
- iv) Create at least 1 new full-time job for a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident;
- Plan to live in the Province.
*Applicants focused on regional development or high-demand sectors (like agriculture, aquaculture, tech, or natural resources) get priority.
